ENEMIES LIFE REGENERATION
This is post about my true honest opinion and suggestion as well regarding enemies regenerating life, first of all this was not a case back in days, i remembered killing bosses did not take whole 20 minutes on the same build now comparing such bosses could regenerate life much quicker than you would deal damage, little estimated calculations, boss or unique has about 5 million hp, that exact enemy regenerates about 10-30% of hp per second, my hit deals around 100k damage not including dot, still, i am unable to even get this enemy hp level down just below 5%. Why so fast rate of regeneration? Why even add something so unnecessary in game as enemies regenerate? Why do enemies always get buffed and players nerfed, this all makes sense, but i really think keep buffing monsters so godly that it's nearly impossible to kill them with avarage built starts to make feel unpleasant challenge. How is it fair that bosses have life regen ground as well, literally impossible to kill the boss, absolutely impossible with avarage build, and yes not talking about extremely hard to come by gear that are often available to players who have mirrors to spend or have many yers of experience or just simple luck

frost bomb
pantheon helmet implicits life mastery there are solutions to enemy life regeneration... in fact its very easy to reduce their regen to 0. |

You mean passives from tree when enemies get less life regeneration, and implicits on gear as well, perhaps frost bomb top of that, but unfortunately those monsters regenerate so much that just before i cast my spell or do my attack they regenerate so much of life that it doesn't really help much, how about consecrated ground? How is that good thing? Bosses having massive probability over 5%+ life regen per second

there is belt enchantment of "50% less regen on enemies hindered by you". If you use curses, you can also get curse mastery of "enemies you curse are hindered"

Thank you for suggestions, the way i look at enemies regeneration is that not lot of monsters hav such mods but when they do its very hard to kill them, i just don't thunk its really that necessary to for them to have such mods

They are designed to make you waste precious passive pts to counter it, especially to annoy SSFHC racers because they mostly have zero dps.
I switched from Hydrosphere to Frost Bomb for applying cold exposure after a bad encounter with t16 Ancient City map boss. The leap slam dude has fast life regen. It's no longer a problem after you've invested into better gear and have millions of dps. Last edited by jeerinho#7997 on Mar 15, 2023, 12:20:42 AM

Players will come up with ways on how to counter this bad mechanic but fact of the matter is enemy life regen was a direct result of increased sources and potency of Chaos damage. That's it.
There's no grand design. Enemy Shield did the exact job life regen does but better however it is rendered useless by Chaos damage so GGG added Life regen. As Chaos damage increases further being one of the two only real damage types along side elemental. You might have noticed resistance to it has increased also with few ways to reduce it. I never use Life regen reduction. I simply break the DPS threshold. It's pointless. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

on any built that can reasonable farm the content you are running frost bomb alone is more than enough to counter monster regen
the only exception top this are 100% delirium maps |

Enemies shouldn't have Life Regen + physical resistance + extra life because it makes them impossible to kill.
During a blight encounter, I encountered a Yellow monster with those three mods, there were no other monsters and it was stuck in an infinite loop between towers. Couldn't finish the encounter. |

Just blast it with 50mil DPS.
I'm not even trying to be rude or anything. That's how this game is played. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac
