Can Support Skill Gems support Skills granted by Equipment?
|
or to put the question differently: do skills granted by equipment act like skills linked to any support gems socketed into that piece of equipment?
specifically / for example, if I socket a hex support gem into "asenath's gentle touch", would it support it's "curse on hit" skill? and for my education & future reference: where were you able to find this information? tyty! templeton the simpleton ;-) Last bumped on Mar 10, 2023, 6:06:48 PM

"You can indeed support a skill from an item, but only in cases where the item actually grants you a skill to support. Asenath's doesn't do that, so you can't do anything to support the Temp Chains it casts. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

oh? (thanks for the reply!)
so how can one tell whether an item confers a skill or just an ability(?) would it have to match/refer to an actual, existing skill gem? (such as "item grants ICE SHOT level 10") and, is there a list somewhere showing all the items which grant skills? thanks again! rumpelstielchen |

"Grant skill", "trigger skill" can be supported by support gems (excluding Empower, Enhance, Enlighten). "Curse on hit" can't.
