In-Depth Ruthless Review After 250+ Hours Played
Thanks, great video!
I agree that the atlas tree is a disaster when you have to take all those small nodes just to sustain and progress maps. Highly unintuitive! Perhaps even the biggest flaw currently in Ruthless. I actually like the no-movement-skills situation except in some of the endgame boss fights. Shaper, U-Elder, and Maven are all fine if you have decent speed. Sirus final phase is the worst and I absolutely HATE the fight to begin with! It's so bad I think the arena should offer a dash skill just like Pillars of Arun. About Quicksilver flasks, you do get 3+ second duration if you roll a decent (T3) duration prefix and use Betrayal for some extra quality. It's still a short duration but it helps running faster between packs. I often see people suggesting a cooldown on movement skills, but I'm still 100% against them. Chance orbs are quite rare, I second bringing the chance orb recepie back! GCPs? In the time it takes you to reach level 92 (which is about the same as lvl 100 in normal leagues) you can make ONE 20/20 gem. I've corrupted two and both bricked. Flip gems? I'm not sure. Gem xp is gutted but Tora still assists. Maybe a more expensive recepie like 2 gems and 2 GCPs for 1 x 20/20? Very good analysis on Incursion, Delve, Delirium, Metamorph, and Harvest mechanics! I'm not a fan of scarabs but I have been grinding Betrayal all league and it's given almost 200 scarabs. I'm using them now just to increase pack size (via Growing Hordes) for Beyond in maps. I've got all the Beyond nodes on my current atlas tree - trying to hunt down that elusive Tainted Fusing. Was hoping to hear more about Breach and Breach stones. I haven't had the resources to try them myself yet, and I don't really need any of the Breach chase-uniques. For me Ruthless was initially about adjusting to drops/RNG, and it turned into chasing league uniques. Betrayal (Catarina) is just sooo good. Heist was terrible in the start but now it's amazing! Interesting thoughts about Legion. I personally think they should not make timeless jewels too common, but granting one for every boss in the arena sounds realistic. Abyss! Abyss jewels can (but rarely) drop from crates even if you don't have any nodes on your atlas tree. Anyway I went all in early and stayed on target, trying to find Shroud of the Lightless. Easy 5=6L with pen? Yeah! Did I find one? No... but multiples of every other "base unique", and most unique jewels, and quite a lot of regular jewels and 4 or 5 stygian belts (they seem very rare!). 30+ Liches Atziri, remember that you can quite easily put her in the temple of Atzoatl! See you guys in 3.21 Ruthless! #SSF #Ascendant :) Bring back helmet enchants! RUTHLESS LOGIN Last edited by hogmark#5124 on Mar 13, 2023, 3:27:45 AM
