REMOVE CAMPAIGN FOR ALTS (It's depressing)

+1

I hate leveling new Alts

Im also fine to unlock an alternative only with the 3rd 90+ Char of the League
Just something to speed the mindnumbing boredem of Campaign leveling up.

And no, PoE 2 does not fix this in any way GGG.
It only postpones the same boredem by a few Leagues.
Won't happen and with reason. People seem to forget this game is a rpg.

You want instant power gameplay right from the get go, play a different game, a roguelike game.

I am one of the rare fair players/collectors.
I'd be happier if a new character could keep the previous characters waypoints at least.

Don't worry though, it will change after Diablo 4 releases.

they not gonna do it, PoE 2 is your alt lol.

I agree 100% endless delve or something after your first toon.

I do worry that poe2 will be the same problem, they will put so much work into it, just for it to be another thing that people are bored of the third time they do it.

I would like them to embrace the sandbox nature of the game more than story, but I don't think they will do that.

Yeah you may be right, at least PoE 2 will feel fresh for 1 league maybe even two? Hopefully the gameplay and graphics overhaul will make the game more enjoyable again.

Diablo 4 has nothing to do with POE and is not competition. D4 and PoE2 are very different games for different people.
If you're the kind of player who wants to make more than one character per league, just set aside a stash tab (or better yet, a GUILD tab) for useful levelling gear. When you've got your gear upgrades from 1-70 ahead of time, the campaign is basically just 120 or so maps chained end to end, with fewer bosses, no mechanics interrupting the flow, and no need to fullclear bad layouts... it's actually FASTER than running an equivalent amount of maps. Even non-racers can easily get each act of the game down to 15 minutes with some preparation and planning.

Also, buy your skill gems from Lilly before you reroll. This is a no-brainer decision that a lot of people seem to miss for some reason, you should always have your active and support gems in advance, AND CARRY THEM IN YOUR INVENTORY, so that you can slap them into your equipment the instant you hit the required levels.

Here's some specific gear that I shoot for and save, if anyone wants to know.
Spoiler

Helm: Thrillsteel. You can wear a Goldrim for act 1 if you want.
Body: Tabula Rasa. Most corrupted implicits will add a level requirement, so don't do that if you only have one.
Boots: Seven League Step. Cheap alternative: Nomic Storm. Also note that ALL lab enchants will add a level 52+ requirement to these, so watch out for that if you buy a pair and NEVER enchant a 7LS.
Belt: I almost always wear Perandus Blazon for early attribute padding, but you can get some very useful mods on String of Servitude or some free damage from a Meginord, Prismweave, Replica Primweave, etc. Obviously, if you've got a Mageblood or Headhunter you might as well throw it on when you hit level 40/44.
Gloves: Lochtonial Caress until 15, then Flesh and Spirit (optional upgrade to other rampage gloves later). Rampage gives you movement speed, so there is no justifiable alternative unless you're levelling as Hollow Palm. It literally is "Rampage or nothing."
Amulet: Depending on how many attributes you need, Astramentis/Carnage Heart/Karui Ward. Anoint with Graceful Assault (Purple Purple Black) for cheap extra QoL.
Rings: I always wear two Doedre rings. Up to 40 mana gained instantly on kill is beyond god tier while speeding through zones, and they'll cap your resists in act 1. Honorable mentions/alternatives for SSF are Kikazaru, Perandus Signet, Rigwald's Crest, and Le Heup of All. Avoid Praxis and Dream Fragments unless you have literally nothing else: Praxis because most skills in a 6L cost too much to be free even if you double up, and Dream Fragments because it's not available until you no longer need it because at level 24 you should be running Purity of Elements.
Flasks: 3 Quicksilver flasks, pre-Enchanted for full automation. So long as you roll them with different prefixes, they'll offset nicely on their own and remain active 100% of the time if you choose "when charges are full." Otherwise, just set them to re-use at end of effect and work through them in sequence.

Now, obviously weapons are going to vary by general build archetype but this is mostly common sense: casters want a pair of +1 wands or scepters, archers want Silverbranch and Roth's Reach, melee want some basic progression of the weapon type allowed by their chosen skill (for instance, Limbsplint > Wideswing > Reaper's Pursuit > Blood Reaper > Sinvicta for most 2h builds). None of this should cost more than a couple chaos in total, if you have to buy these incredibly common items for some reason.

Skills and supports: I always run both Vitality and Clarity as soon as I can, dropping clarity when I hit 24 and can run Purity of Elements. Run Onslaught in your main damage setup until you can equip the Thrillsteel. Do NOT run any crit or crit-scaling supports until you get to maps; you won't have enough passive tree investment to make it worthwhile so flat damage supports are far better. Consider Elemental Overload or Resolute Technique, if applicable and close to your planned tree.

This is simply not correct and proven false by Diablo 3 which is around the same lifetime as PoE, regardless of how you feel about D3 as a game. Diablo 3 is exactly the same type of game as PoE, and yet once you complete the story once you NEVER have to do it again. There are multiple other ways to level a second/etc. character.

It is not a genre issue, it is a GGG issue.

I think the stupid bounty leveling in D3 with all his little exploits is way more boring and cheap than the campaign.

I like the campaign in PoE much more because i enjoy the journey.

Its fun for me to see the Progression of different builds. I come from a ssfhc only perspective though.

I can see how it is boring if you only care about the "goal".
Nah, the campaign isn't bad. If you're leveling 2nd and subsequent character in a league it really should be pretty damn quick. There are a lot of overpowered items with low level requirement - they might not be uber boss viable but are surely campaign speedrunning viable. They buffed like 100+ low level uniques in patch 3.19.

If I had to name bad things that you have to do each league:

-Pantheon is per character. Annoyance level 2/10
-Labs - idk why it's 4 of them per character. Annoyance level 4/10
-Delve - reaching depths with decent rewards takes an insane amount of time and it's really difficult, content is way more punishing than T16 mapping. Annoyance level 7/10
-Heist resets each league and it's infuriating. IMO all rogues should be max job level, you only would need to collect some gear for them. Annoyance level 9/10

Pantheons being account wide would brick builds that need to be blinded, but uneffected by blind. nasima timeless jewels builds that use shields for dps in particular in my case.

Probably an easy fix but at this point some things would brick.
