Help Scaling Bane Damage

I have a level 92 Occultist Bane character. According to POB, I am doing 300k damage with Bane on a 6 link. POB link at bottom of post.

I know I have crap gear. I don't know what I need to scale my damage. I want to get to 3 million DPS but I just don't see a clear path to get there. I am willing to make minor changes to the skill tree but I don't want to sacrifice survivability for the damage. She is at 52k effective hit pool which is a comfortable place to be for a softcore caster.

What do I need gear wise to get to 3 million DPS based on my build?

not going to load up your POB to look at what you did(srry).

but I will leave the POB of what I did a couple leagues back. I tend to build defensively while getting enough damage. Some pieces are min/maxed hard, some pieces do have legacy values on things.

some alterations will need to be made because of changes in the past few leagues(things like quality on certain curses). Finding a different source of ES for ghost dance(gravicious craft still great here, can likely just do a sadist garb instead.. or drop it entirely for the suppress wheel(might be needed since suppression nerfs)

should help at least give an idea of what to do.

if your focus is pure damage, you can remove some of the things where im obviously focusing on defense for offense.

If you want 3MM dps with just Bane alone, you need a fairly high budget. Minor changes to the skill tree will not get you anywhere near that. If you want it to also be tanky, it will be quite expensive.

For starters, you need to go double large 8-passive chaos clusters.

For reference, here is the Bane character I played in Scourge league. It was the top dps character on PoE Ninja for just Bane AND I was way tankier than you are now (5164 life, 3852 shields, fairly high evasion, but most importantly, my chest piece meant every time I killed a group, I heal to full) but I had several hundred exalts (would be divines now) invested. My weapon alone was well over 100 exalts to craft.

Thank you for your POBs. That gives me some good examples of gear that I need to get. I think I will start with awakened support gems then go from there.
