Soul Siphon passive + mine/trap/totem?
Just a short question (since I can't find the answer anywhere):
If you kill a monster through a remote skill (mine, trap, totem) does soul siphon passive apply? For that matter, does it trigger if your minion kills the monster? Last edited by Aurthel#6056 on May 26, 2012, 3:45:51 PM

I'm not sure about minions but I believe totem traps and mines should give you the mana. The latter two die after they cast anyway so they couldn't get it.

The entity that uses a skill get the leech or other on-hit/on-damage effects from that skill.
If your totem uses a skill with life leech, your totem gets the leech, not you. Traps and Mines are not currently in their final state, so I could see that changing for them, although I am not currently aware of any plans for this. Last edited by Mark_GGG#0000 on May 27, 2012, 7:25:46 PM

Sorry to necro this thread, but I have a question about this topic.
Does mana gain by killing an enemy (like soul siphon keystone) works with totems now? |

I'm very interested in this information as well.

Is there an internal cooldown for this effect? If you killed 5 enemies simultaneously(or, within 1 millisecond), do you get 5 times the mana return?

I'd like an answer to that as well. If I kill with fire trap as my main skill do I get mana from soul siphon keystone? It says + mana when you kill enemy but it's my trap that does the killing so I'm not getting that benefit then. Am I correct?

Necroing this, because there are questions within that have not yet been answered (and I had myself).
After some testing, I was able to confirm that neither minions nor totems give you mana with the "mana on kill" nodes. :( Going to make a new post in Gameplay Help asking whether there are other places where it won't work (such as splash damage or traps). Wash your hands, Exile!

"Correct. Traps, totems and minions are not you - if they kill something, you didn't kill it. |
