Blastchain Mine + Explosive Trap doesn't autotarget, but Blastchain Mine + Lightning Trap does
When Blastchain Mine is linked with a trap skill, it throws a mine, and the mine throws a trap.
With other mine skills, the mine will target the nearest enemy, so an ability like Ball Lightning will aim toward the mob. When Blastchain Mine is linked with Lightning Trap, the mine will throw the trap under the feet of the nearest mob, but when Blastchain Mine is linked with Explosive Trap, it throws the trap on top of the mine, not targeting enemies. In both screenshots I threw mines away from the mobs, towards the top-left of my screen. Picture A is with Lightning Trap. The mines throw the traps under the feet of the mobs, where they detonate. Picture B is with explosive trap. The mines throw the traps 'in place', causing them to land on top of the detonated mine, and not under the feet of the mobs. https://imgur.com/a/rjTvTdb Without the quality-of-life from autotargeting, my build feels terrible to use, please fix. (I've since tested this with Ice trap, and it doesn't autotarget, either.) Last edited by OkarmaO#6375 on Feb 20, 2023, 12:51:51 AM Last bumped on Mar 13, 2023, 4:41:54 AM

It's the common mine behaviour. If you use ANY spell that can chain or for some other reason would autotarget while used when put in mine, the trap that uses it (including trap support) will autotarget from the mine.
As for lightning trap mine you can check my saboteur in PoB just by typing LnDxLeo as account name. I'm using lightning trap mine as my leaguestarter for 10 leagues already and I believe this league I've finally came to minmaxing it. Previously It was just used as a stepping stone for the map blasting builds. |
