Lets make Glancing Blows Great again...

Nerf Archnemesis.

Fixed.
Can't believe people are still struggling with what's left of Archnemesis. The current iteration is so watered down I'd seriously question if your build has any defense at all if you happen to constantly die. Either that or straight up skill issue.

Glancing Blows is fine in my opinion. If anything they should consider giving Gladiator it's previous bread and butter back. Or nerf spell suppression to bring it more in line with other, similar layers.

Gb is just fine if you use it in the correct way.
It's only great with gain x on block, otherwise it's just bad.

An mods are a joke since 3.20 and not much of a deal anymore.

How you use it? Do you even know what I'm talking about? Its a passive buff. You either use it or you don't.

GTFO of here with your BS.

GTFO with your BS too. I get it. You love Archnem. Good for you. The rest of us casual gamer types that come home from work and want to kill a few monsters don't.

Un-Nerf glancing blows... Maybe you were playing when it was nerfed. I doubt it.

Thanks for the bump.

learn the basics of the game. It should help you to give you an understanding of the keystone. It's not just a doubled chance for your block but hey you should know that after playing the game for all the past years.

But don't worry they won't change anything cause the keystone is just fine as it is.
Changing some on your own build/playstyle is most likely the only solution for you.
Cause AN mobs are a joke this league and can't even hurt a character on budget gear anymore lol
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
You are wrong.

thank you for the support.

ummm... no Last time I checked you are not an expert.
I think theres an adjustment that should be made tbh.

glancing blows should make blocks prevent 40% of damage from hits, up from 35%.

spell suppression should be reduced to 40% of damage from spells, down from 50%.

i think given their caps, uses and required investments it would actually be quite fair beyond just mirroring each others figures, suppression is a little too strong and glancing is a little too weak. glancing can apply to spell and attacks, but in order to get that you do need to probably double the investment a suppression char puts in which means in those cases its more comparable to looking at their evasion + suppression investment + results, which yield better results than glancing block but require gear investment which is a higher opportunity cost and hence should pay out more because it leaves a glancer open to having a base armour or energy shield rating they can then further invest in to icnrease their overall defensive results.

i dunno, i play a lot of glance and supress characters, both rly poor self found joke ones and really high budget, well invested ones, and a change in the numbers around these sort of values is what makes a lot of sense to me.

50% is too much for supress, but less than 40% is just killing it, 40% is as low as you can go. and really, 40% damage reduction is, imo, around the minimum to make me feel good about glancing as a trade off for doubling my block. i still use it at 65% but it feels kind of bad, its like buying a macdonalds for dinner... you do it because ur there and u need to fill a gap but somewhere in your head you know its shit that you wish wasnt your only option.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
