Covered in frost indicator

So I've been using this ring on my Spark build mostly for defensive purposes (to cover enemies in Frost). But not knowing if enemies are really covered in frost or not leaves me wondering how efficient the strategy is because I don't know how well it works against bigger bosses. The thing is - with lots of screen clutter it's hard to say if something is/was frozen or not. Am I missing something or there's really no way to say if frost is there or not?

OK, so I am able to freeze Sirus (just checked) so I guess that's that but I'd still like to see some sort of an indicator when the frost is there

i use that ring for the covered in ash and dont see any indicator either.
