Leech cap is being broken with leech flask and wurm's molt
This is huge as it lets you leech your entire life in one hit, making some truly overpowered mechanics. Link to video below (not mine). I haven't tested it myself so I'm not sure which one is breaking the cap if the leech flask is coded wrong or if the wurm's molt is giving the wrong stat. There is an entire archtype of builds rising around this bug so it may need to be patched at the end of the league but there should at least be an announcement on the intent to patch this.

I tested this. The culprit is wurm's molt. It is granting the following stat according to the text on the belt:
1000% increased total recovery per second from life leech but is actually granting this stat currently: 1000% increased maximum recovery per life leech The former increases how much you leech per hit, up to the 10% natural cap per instance of leech. This is useful if you are dealing very small hits to ensure they last the entire 5 second default duration. The latter increased how much you are allowed to leech per instance of leech. This is currently a very rare stat you can find on one of the Slayer's passives. It increases how much you can leech from one hit in total from 10% to, in this case, 100% of your life per hit. Furthermore, it does also appear that this flask is actually granting BOTH of these stats at once. If this is intended then the belt mod wording should be adjusted. It would be nice to know how the belt is intended to work because I don't wanna get a slam build out and have fun with the belt only for it to get fixed in a week. |

You are incorrect.
Leech packets are by default 10% capped at 10% of your maximum life. Every second, they are drained by 2% to recover that much life. This recovery is summed by all packets, multiplied by your 'increased total recovery per second from life leech' stat and then capped by your 'Maximum total recovery per second from life leech' stat, which is 20% by default (and 40% with vaal pact). Increased total recovery is a multiplier on the 2% that is being drained from these packets. So you can leech an amount of life (e.g. with the damage from hits is leeched as life flask mod) which will be put into a packet. That packet is capped at 10% of your life, so it is easily possible to reach this with self hit forbidden rite. The 2% that is being drained per second is then multiplied by your 'increased total recovery' and then capped by your 'maximum total recovery'. So it is perfectly possible for a single forbidden rite self hit packet to be filled to 10%, being drained by 2% per second and this 2% is then multiplied by 1000% which becomes 20% per second. 'Increased maximum recovery' increases this 10% cap per packet, which is what slayer ascendancy does. So it would allow for a leech packet to last more than 5 seconds. Wurm's molt does NOT grant this stat. It ONLY applies 'increased total recovery per second', which in this specific setup is indeed enough to recover your entire life over 5 seconds with a single FR hit. Example: 2000 life 0% chaos res Forbidden rite hits you for 800 damage You leech 15% of this, so 120 which becomes a packet (max size for packet is 200) This packet is drained by 2% of your life per second, so 40 per second. It will last 3 seconds. Every second, you will recover 40 * 11 = 400 life per second if you have a perfect roll wurm's molt (1000% increased total recovery per second from life leech). This will last 3 seconds, so it will give a total of 1200 life leeched over 3 seconds. |
