Noob end game question

Generally, what’s considered the most difficult content to down? Maven?

And how long does that typically take a player after league start to achieve? Assuming they know what they’re doing?

Asking as I’m trying to inquire about the longevity of the end game for my personal tastes. Thanks!

Thats almost impossible to answer, except for one thing:
Maven isnt the hardet boss.

All the pinnacle bosses do have uber versions including Uber Maven and those are significantly harder than the regular ones.

Additionally there are special fights featuring multiple "fairly hard" bosses.
Fairly hard, if you encounter them alone in their arenas. But in those special fights their are teaming up with 3-4 other bosses and on top of that those encounter can come with mods making the fight even tougher.

How hard exactly depends on your build and experience.


Getting to those fights and beating those bosses isnt the hard part tho.
Knowing the threshold what it takes in terms of gear and acquiring the gear is the hard or time consuming part.

Its going to be a journey and a long one at that, if you havent done it before.

The problem is its really hugely variable; and depends on player skill as well as the quality of the builds you use (and whether you look them up or try to figure stuff out yourself).

There are players who take out the uber bosses in the first few days of a new league. There are also plenty of players who never manage to beat the regular versions of the bosses by the end of a league despite putting in one or two hundred hours.

So there really isn't a 'typical' because the range is simply too large.

Uber bosses can be cheesed. I'd suggest deep delving instead. There are definitely builds which do better than the rest but things aren't as clear cut.

maven is a DPS check but the mechanics are a nightmare. thats what makes it hard.

Dont know. Maybe some fat 'Soul Eater' rare in deep Delve or sth.

Depends on game mode. In HC SSF Ruthless no one has - far as I know - ever beaten any uber boss yet. So if boss killing is your thing and you want longevity then HC SSF Ruthless gives the most of it.

In general, if you can do the 40 challenges solo, w/o any help, then you have pretty much done most of what POE offers.
Every league some of the challenges are related to Uber bosses and other league bosses.

I'd say the uber bosses are pretty hard if you don't have one of the better builds, but they can certainly be cheesed. I hate the sirus fight, but with my current build, I kill uber sirus in 1-2 seconds in the last phase, so because of that it's very easy. So all in all, it really depends on your build. Getting the currency together for that good build is probably the "challenge" I'd say, along with figuring out what build it is, it changes from league to league usually.
