Awakened gems are pointless

In order to get them, you gotta reach endgame and the bosses who drop those gems are at endgame. And by default you defeated bosses without awakened gems. Not to mention leveling gems to level 5 with massive exp bar.

you 're supposed to sell them, the problem is the ones that do drop are not worth much. the ones that are worth a lot just dont drop

" It's a thought. However, perhaps you only just managed to do said endgame without the gems and with them it'll be easier next time and so on. But I had the same thought about the drops from Shaper and Elder when they were still the top bosses. Once you got there, the drops were not necessary anymore, obviously. Bird lover of Wraeclast

They are chase items. Games like this need chase items. The problem is you need to do it every league, which isn't a design for everyone. Forget the end game exists, and this game gets a lot better.
