Eternal Nightmare (The Harvest) issue
I'll put this under bugs, though it's been around since the beginning and I guess nobody cared enough to change it, but it's still illogical.
Namely, in Act IV, the Harvest, if you kill Doerdre, Maligaro and Shavronne and deliver Malachai's organs to Piety, but leave the game/area for long enough for it to reset without entering the Black Core, upon reentering, you again have the quest to kill the Godless Three. Even though the organs are delivered (and they don't drop them again, and Piety is already in the Core), the very fact that they have respawned makes the game count the previous tier of the quest as incomplete. So you have to run around the Harvest and kill them again, and then go in to fight Malachai. Why? That makes no sense. Please fix it and make the entrance to the Black Core available if the organs were already delivered to Piety, period. I'm guessing that maybe originally, when Act IV was the end and Malachai the endgame boss, GGG wanted to make farming him a little harder, i.e. slower, by not letting you reenter the Black Core repeatedly without bothering to kill the Three first. But it's been awhile since anyone has been farming Malachai with any real significance, I figure. :) It just makes stuff boring for us if we happened to take a break in the game at that particular time. " It is intended to prevent farming Malachai over and over in the era of 4 acts 3 difficulty . And it make no sense too for people phased Kitava and leave the area for a break and expect the boss still phased. This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. " Well, yes, I thought and said as much, but that era is long over. It was intended for that when farming Malachai was a relevant thing. It hasn't been for years. And the phases of a single boss are different. I'm not suggesting to let us in directly into the lower part of the Malachai fight if I've finished the phase with Piety and then quit for some reason. But this is a completely separate quest for unlocking the area. Beyond knowing it from prior experience, you wouldn't expect having to re-do it from the quest description etc. There's no other thing in the campaign that you have to repeat in such a way, IIRC.
