Alt key for item comparison not working

I have my options set so Alt = "Highlight items and objects". It works fine to display the advance item stats like level, attribute details, etc.

Can't get it to compare any item anywhere (pack, ground, vendor, stacks) with a worn gear item.

Any suggestions?

I found it in Inputs. I hadn't known what it was and assigned Ctrl+D to it. That worked, but I reset it back to Ctrl to make it easier.
