Expedition nerfed?

I bought 66 winged scarabs and many 100% runic monster sextants, run my maps with high quant (90+ prerolled) and take quant mods from altars & run the encounter last, after map and legion is cleared out.

Logbooks basically don't exist. I'm getting a decent amount of reroll, but now im down to 29 winged scarabs and my logbook stock is... only five?! Three of which came off Danning?

2 logbooks dropped from over 30 high investment map encounters?!

What is this? This can't be a bad RNG streak. Don't tell me I place charges in incorrect order, I play with this mechanic extensively every league and I have comparision. In Sentinel and Kalandra I was getting 4-5 logbooks from ONE MAP occasionally. Two was common, three ocurred about once per 5 maps, four+ occured once per 20-30 maps. That's with high investment of course.

Legion seems alright except 5-ways themselves. Seven 5-ways cleared and not a single unrelenting emblem.

What is happening?

I definitely think logbook drop rate was reduced, i'm not really surprised it was standout as a mechanic for its value compared to others, especially for how cheap it is.

everything is nerfed god forbid unless you are a thousand dollar supporter pack user or poster boy streamer you can't be rewarded in this game for doing anything.


i remember when ritual had good drops on it. now i'm luck if i get 2 chaos on it

most of expedition was complete trashed.. from the gambling to tujen I think also rog was nerfed as well as he used to give an influenced exalted orb back then..

i mean im not surprised, expedition is literally a currency printer.
POE never had a mechanic, where you just buy exalts off a vendor. And Expedition added this - more than that, buying exalts (divines after 3.19) was quite common.

And it was quite deterministic too. Bring a stack of 100 exotic coinage and you're basically guaranteed to run away with 1 or more divines, many chaos, many stacked decks and enough bubble currency to never worry about it.

The only time I remember getting multiple logbooks per map was during expedition league. I got my atlas fully specced in expedition and logbooks are still a pretty rare drop, sure, I'm not using sextants and scarabs but that would double my logbooks at best, and if you dropped twice as many as me it would still be well below one per map on average.

Subjectively, I also have an impression that dannig drops more logbooks than others but that's most likely just rng, it would be hard to prove with the sample size I got.

Hi, I spent around $4k in supporter packs over the years. Expedition logbook drops are also terrible for me. How about we not make baseless assumptions and make bad faith reasons for why things are the way they are?

If I had to guess, the reason for this nerf probably coincides with Sanctum being a money printer. GGG likely nerfed the hell out of everything else to make up for it. Let's not forget everyone was mentioning that general map loot was terrible at the start of this league too, and that's likely for the same reason Expedition logbook drops are terrible.

I expect logbooks will be more common next league, assuming the new one also isn't a money printer.

Odd, I stopped deleting currency on juice that wasn't juicing anything and logbooks now reappeared.

Just gilded scarab into alch & go map, worth about 6c a pop.

Getting logbook after logbook, my stock is now 13.

I don't get this game.

Maybe i got exceptionally lucky this time.

Tuljen massively dropped in value with Divine changes since stacked decks lost 7? Fairly common cards worth money in addition to prophecy cards like 6-link or Asananth's.

There's also theory with multiple high pool decks showing a decrease in valuable cards. You can also use sales data. In Legion they were 5c per they dropped to 1-2c in Heist and never came back up.

With the extra time it takes to setup, I don't think expedition it's worth doing.
Esp in a league where spamming maps is the ideal way to engage with the content.

Stacked deck RNG has been terrible to me too.
Opened well above 1,5k of them as im doing both expedition and legion and this crap prints out hundreds of them.

My hands hurt and i got nothing of value. One Nurse, several Divine Beauty, that's about it. Screw that, im selling them to streamers for the remainder of this league.
