Abyss Atlas Point bug

Apparently, atleast for the biggest Abyss Atlas point node, some nodes just cost you Atlas points without granting any reward/benefit.

I verified it in 20 tier 16 maps, 10 maps the big Abyss Atlas point node to the top activated and 10 without them.

When you don't have them everything is normal as one knows from thousands of hours of PoE, meaning every hole/wave of the abyss running around spawns atleast 1 rare/yellow creature (the 1st one aswell, ALWAYS) and the creatures spawn over several seconds.

If you activate the (new) Atlas points which cause the monster count of the abyss to increase (no word about decrease on hole 1 and 2), and more so for subsequent abyss holes, the 1st hole and sometimes even the 2nd hole does not contain a rare/yellow creature and the abyss does not even stop to spawn more over the following seconds.

As a matter of fact this means now if you allocate the points to having many creatures in your map (for example combined with delirium) you get nothing.
Verification with Rampage as a kill counter proves that the unit amount is roughly the same with and without the atlas skill points investment.

The only effect you get is less/easier hole 1 and 2, and juiced hole 3 and 4. No benefit at all.

How can this, apart from some other bugs, have been tested and not be fixed before releasing something new, does the new content not get tested at all, like the stroboscope epilepsy league mechanic boss?
