300 Divines in 3 weeks - making currency never felt this easy feedback (Melee great, Delirium not)
This league did something very interesting I caught on - it focused on doubling down on a single map mechanic while at the same time made alch + go mapping significantly easier. With some investment you can force certain mechanics (I went with 2) to reliably appear on maps without actually using scarabs or the map device.
Why ritual? Its simple - running synthesis maps is worthless and the best way, or at least the laziest, to farm synthesis bases is to run rituals. The most beautiful thing about this is that people are so fixated on the divine altars they mostly ignore the left part of the passive tree. And ritual is really on the left. The synthesis bases I got from ritual are not only incredibly valuable but also incredibly rare because of the synthesis map change and the obsession with the right part of the tree. It just makes too much sense to focus on something that is not widely farmed. Why delirium? Because I like it. It is not that profitable at all unless you want to run simulacrums and 100% delirious maps. Since I am not interested in this right now I am just busy collecting splinters and orbs. Note that the delirium passives are a bit of a trap. You can consistently get delirium rewards without investing anything into increased delirium rewards from the tree. I don't have increased splinter nodes and I've already assembled 30+ simulacrums. I don't have increased orbs nodes and I already have 70+ orbs of a certain kind. At this point I also stopped collecting cluster jewels unless they are unique. Simply put - they kinda made delirium worthless to invest into but at least nice when it comes to additional mobs. Why melee? Because it is cheap. It always has been despite what some forum goers want you to believe. I literally got a timeless jewel which provides me with 25% increased dexterity and a whole bunch of other stuff for 3 divines. Its not like it is hard to see how godly it is in a certain position - most people simply don't care to do anything with it. And this is just one example. Melee is not meta, therefore its parts will be cheaper than average and this you can take advantage of. Why not Sanctum? Because fuck it. Is the rare monster change good? Yes and no. Yes because rares can still be powerful and fun to fight. No because they are just not worth killing unless they are synthesis monsters. Scarab explosions are much less impressive considering how easy it is to get them nowadays. Is the game fun? Yup. As someone who is lazy and prefers doing alch'n'go instead of building intricate farming strategies this might be one of the most fun leagues ever created. What about the challenges? Ask someone who cares about them. Last bumped on Jan 2, 2023, 3:32:32 AM

Sanctum dropping tons of money much more frequently than juiced rituals.
Using mageblood kind of voids all the "easy" comments imo, Flask management is a big deal especially in hard content, just keeping track of your charges and when to hit them is a lot already so please don't say its easy :P You should really hit up some sanctum, its good stuff. Innocence forgives you

I bought my mageblood only at the end of the third week, I did everything else on about 10 divine budget.
I plan to hit up ruthless too later on! Last edited by Johny_Snow#4778 on Dec 31, 2022, 10:00:30 AM

People actually put value on synth bases? In all the time I've run Rituals and seen them, the bonuses those provide seem so small and insignificant that I'd never think anyone would want them over fractured mods, especially not when you've now got eldritch mods to contend with. I would've expected the actual value from Ritual to come from making and selling blood-filled vessels.
Also, Delirium? I guess if you're a speed freak with screen-killing clear, it's good. I'm a summoner, so that's beyond my capability. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. Last edited by Pizzarugi#6258 on Dec 31, 2022, 10:21:05 AM

Nobody said melee cant farm alch and go ritual lol. Go buy 50 sets of any uber boss and lmk your success rate on them. Other than cortex, something is wrong with that fight. My gen cry shield crush char does it deathless for some reason and it hardly has any uber dps.
Also you're very lucky finding those synth bases. I have a hard time believing you have found all 3 of those bases this league so far. |

Obviously I didn't find just them. Mana reservation efficiency helmet for 8 divines. Flammability ring for 5 divines. 25% ES + flat ES Vaal Regalia for...I forgot how much. Should have written a log or something.

Filthy Targariens doing filthier speculation. You heard it from the Dragonspawn itself, urging the masses to go farm rituals so it could buy synth bases for cheap, driving the player base further into debt with the Iron Chris Bank.
Kill it with fire! Buy a cask of wildfire accelerant at 50% discount this week only at your local alchemy guild branch. What do you mean its immune, just take advantage of our bulk 30% discount if you pre-order at least 999 barels now! |

I like playing off-meta builds as they are often much cheaper to put together and get to high power state than meta builds. Nothing puts me off more than having to pay 10-20 divine for an item that isn't even that good - just high demand due to the build being top in meta.
My strategy has been burning through maps with wandering path (maxed out raw map sustain, ignoring league mechanics completely -focusing on Sanctum and farming boss keys cos i do so many maps in rapid succession) and snowballing currency via buying scythe logbooks. I go on TFT, put 4 divine to exchange into 24 scythe logbooks. This will give a ton of artifacts and reroll currency, basically guaranteed to pay back and then some. Logbooks themselves also drop lots of raw divine because they have strong quantity / rarity modifiers on the pylons. But expedition logbook farming isn't for everybody - it has lots of build bricking effects on those pylons. I bricked several by picking immune to curses or "monsters kill things with <20% life on hit" - I constantly run at very low life because im dissolution of the flesh - using life reservation mechanic. From left-wing Atlas strategies Metamorph worked well for me. It's also dominant on the left side and when specced into it, it will drop a fuck ton of catalysts. My personal record is a single Metamorph monster dropping 47 catalysts at once. I use "catalyst are duplicated" sextant (very cheap, 10 chaos for 4 uses) and gilded metamorph scarab. Everyone is fixated on the right side of tree, so catalysts maintain their high price, with resistance being 10 chaos each, life, crit and speed about 5 chaos each. This is a lot. And it adds up.
