Again Singapore server

WinMTR Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/cDGLyNFp

Ping spikes randomly for a few weeks now. Kinda hard to do sanctum with spikes like this and ping should be at 30-40 but now most of the time its at 110 and up.

It's not the server.

You are getting packet loss that starts here: 103.203.158.140 and carries forward which is bad.

Looks to be a Hong Kong networklayer (Maybe BBIX?) node. You're going to have to call your ISP. Since this isn't in their direct purview, they may not be able to do anything directly to help. Tell them you are getting PL and it's affecting your ability to do what you want to online. Your latency is also going a bit high at that node as well and it's really affecting your overall latency, keeping your averages right around 80ish which really sucks. If they can't do anything, ask them to forward this up the chain to see if something can be done.

Also, you are getting some basically 1/4 second spikes right at your second hop. That's something that your ISP can do something about. I'd mention that as well.

One thing you may want to try is a VPN to see if you can get shunted around that problem area. Don't know what free options there are in your neck of the woods, but there are also some paid services that do have free trials. I use NordVPN myself, but I paid for it. Works very well.

I understand that. From time to time, there's always a node in between that makes playing POE awful base on past tracerts, but the question is, who is responsible for that node? I tried calling my isp so many times but the level 1 person seems to not understand what I am explaining. Not sure but GGG could reroute/do something about the traffic/node to a different/ better route?

GGG only has semi-control over their provider in the same way that you have "control" over yours. This doesn't have anything to do with their provider. The closest entity is your ISP. If you are having issues with Tier 1, ask for Tier 2 or a manager. GGG can't route anything around that node, it's up to the whims of the providers and the closest one in this case, since it's the first peering point between your ISP and them, is to go through your ISP.

I know it's a pain in the ass, but it's the best thing to do at this point. Other than that, as I said, a VPN could work.

if you're PCCW or netvigator user , please let me know if you fix the problem or your ISP tell you anything, As far as i know HKBN have totally no issue.
