Increase Chaos max stack size - NOW FFS!
This really needs to be done.
Div - C ratio is now 300:1 and if it goes up any more than this (even 10c) then we're heading into a realm where it's only possible to trade DIV:C one at a time. ONE! F***ING ONE! I don't care how high the price is, it might be 5000 - 1 for whatever i care. I care how much fcking clicking I have to do in order to trade. And the answer is too damn much, that's for sure. Lifeforce trading is good because the stack size is high, you just type the exact amount you want to extract from this stack and trade it. Numbers don't matter. I'm going to highball this and advocate for Chaos to be 5000 stack size. Like in currency tab. Haggle me on this GGG, but I'm no longer going to accept 10-stack for chaos as primary trading currency. It was bullshit for years, but with 100:1 ratios we could manage. With 300:1 this is too much to ask for. My patience has ran out. No more nice and polite guy. I demand change. i get the feeling this has been a debate in streams and reddit that ive missed out on as im kind of away from the game to soem extent atm.
but i think regardless of the exchange rates currently having bigger stack sizes for most currency is just a good thing. i think back in the day there was probably a feeling of importance being factored in, the feels of the items having worth being greater if the stack size is smaller, and the importance of pressure on inventory space and the hard decisions of it you pick up this wetstone or not... u know the sort of fluffy romanticism ggg came into this genre with and, lets give it its dues, was in part responsible for them making the bet arpg ever. but, i think what ggg have done in the 10 years since is move the genre along. theyve now given the genre way more important things to care about, to demand of the players time and thought, and some of these core romantic notions they came in with just dont hold up any more. the idea of large items in the inventory giving them a feeling of importance and weight, yeah sure, but do chaos orbs only stacking to 10 really facilitate that? is that adding something important to the game going into 2023? or is this just adding to a feeling of a great game being weighed down unnecessarily by really clunky out of date design decisions that sounded amazing when they were spoken about in chriss garage in 2010 and worked in the game in 2013 but are now just a cumbersome tax on players quality of life? i think alchs, chaos, regal, alts, augs, all the little gumballs, just make them stack to 50. all of them, 50. keep exalts, divines, mirrors etc at a 10 stack, all the little marbles stack em to 50, makes all our lives easier. back in 2013 when the game launched with chaos orbs on a 10 stack they were 15-1 exalt, gcp were 5-1 exalt, divines were 2-1 exalt. massive changes to the amount of items dropping have been made to this game and not enough has been done to recognise that and shit the thinking in terms of how we deal with picking up, storing and exchanging these items. the feeling of importance of a chaos orb or an alch has been massively shifted by item drop creep, insane item drop creep, but it feels like were constantly still stuck in a conversation around the qol of handling items that hasnt moved with the times and accepted this shift. you cant talk about 'well, in diablo 2 we didnt have auto looting and we didnt have x, y and z problem with picking up items" when you are also the devs that have made literally 50x as many items drop that people need to pick up and trade than D2 had. so i just feel like we really need a rethink here, a recalibration of the day to day reality of the game, what is important, where can we just make massive qol strides to better fit the state of a cutting edge arpg in 2023. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

More like the importance of more people buying the currency stash tab because without it you start pulling out your hair

" Having played through the days before GGG even had premium ones, I have 100 from the days before map and currency tabs existed. It was pretty much essential to have 1-2 tab for each currency and at least 1 for each map tier, more if you map quickly. Now they just gather dust in my stash. GGG won't let me refund them for points due to how long ago it's been. I used to have more than 100, but I contacted support in the right time to have a few refunded. The rest are a permanent reminder of a much more tedious time. ----- +1 to OP PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. Last edited by Pizzarugi#6258 on Dec 25, 2022, 1:49:40 AM
