Forbidden Sanctum Inspiration

So, in my current Forbidden Sanctum run I have a relic that gives me +50 Inspiration when I gain an Affliction and a boon that gives me +100 Inspiration when I gain an Affliction.
This is where the problem lies. Gaining Afflictions from rooms normally allows me to go beyond the 1,000 Inspiration mark, but taking afflictions from Accursed Fountains or Accursed Pacts does not allow me to go beyond the 1,000 Inspiration mark. This also has a knock-on effect of setting my Inspiration to 1,000 exact if I have OVER that much Inspiration and I take an Affliction from an Accursed Fountain or Accursed Pact. I was near the 1,200 Inspiration mark and took an accursed pact, I then noticed my Inspiration, instead of going beyond 1,300 at least, I was dropped down to exactly 1,000 Inspiration. This means that I took an Affliction and LOST some of my inspiration for it instead. I feel as though this was not intended and has become a lose-lose situation for an otherwise really good run for me. Last bumped on Dec 17, 2022, 9:11:25 AM

Can confirm, pretty much the same thing just happened to me.
I had this : * rusted chimes boon (+100 inspiration per affliction) * +37 inspiration each floor (relic) * +87 inspiration per affliction (relic) I went past 1000 (~1100) so I thought there was a change to remove the 1000 cap since I hit it 2 times already in previous runs so I knew it existed. So when I saw a pact giving -200 resolve/+200 inspiration I took it but I ended up falling down to exactly 1000 instead of ~1300 as I expected (and still losing 200 resolve obviously) Not that it matters much since the run is pretty much impossible to fail when you have that much but still... I didn't see any kind of indication for an actual cap. If the cap is intended, it would probably be good to : - prevent inspiration to go over 1000 with passives bonus procs - show the cap on the inspiration bar Cheers |

I just had the same issue happen to me. Had about 1037 inspiration, took the accursed pact to trade 200 resolve for 200 inspiration and my inspiration was set to 1000.
