Can I kindly ask to use more cpu cores while playing?
I have a ryzen 7 3700x. A 8 cores, 16 threads cpu but I have to play the game with multithread disabled, because... I dont know. Thats a years long problem and theres nothing by GGG to fix it. I have no problem in any other game, only POE. Sure you guys kknow cpus nowadays have more than 1 core, right?

what's the problem if you enable "multithreaded" in poe's options?
i'm on the third multithreaded amd processor since i started playing poe and never had any issues (not denying that there are problems, just saying). the thing is: even if you got a real 8 core cpu, playing a game that's designed for 2 to 4 threaded cpus on a boosted single core might be faster. your cpu can boost the clock speed of a single core from 3,6 to 4,4 GHz if there aren't multiple applications running and your motherboard and drivers are supporting it. so, running poe on a single core might not be bad after all. just wathch the clock speed with tools like cpu-z age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! For what it's worth, making good use of more than one core in a game update loop is a legitimately hard problem, and more so if your game engine is a homegrown thing from 2008.
Are you experiencing any issues getting enough compute cycles out of a single core, or just feeling like you're not getting your money's worth? " Let's assume the principle of charity, eh? Last edited by askreet#4736 on Dec 7, 2022, 5:07:27 PM
