Flicker Friends!! A Compilation of Experiencing 3.20 Playing Flicker Strike.

Howdy Ya'll

A couple buddies and I thought it would be fun to chronicle our experiences all starting as the same build this league, so we chose to go with Flickerstrike. You can call us the flicker friends or "/ff" for short. We're planning on doing updates for the first couple of days (opening weekend) and every Friday and Monday after that. The idea is that we'd be showing progress for a full set of weekdays and weekends at a time, as we are working individuals and updating everyday would get tiresome.

The way I've chosen for us to track our experience is in a couple of ways.

1. Exilence Next.
This program is able to track both the current value of a selected account/character (including items stored in stash tabs) as well as track the amount of currency gained per hour. On top of that, it's possible for the program to connect groups of people together, which makes it easier for me to track stats. Heres an image of Exilence if you've never seen it before:

2. Mapwatch.
This program is able to use the client.txt file from your game to track the number of maps you run, as well as a bunch of other stats. # of maps, deaths, portals used, time in hideout, etc. My personal favorite part is that it's able to track extra mechanics like delirium or abyss. Images below are to show examples:

3. Miscellaneous
I'm planning on tracking some other minor stuff as well, but haven't ironed out the full details or run it past the fellas yet. Ideas include snapshots of PoB's, a statement from each person on how they're feeling, and what their next big step is.

So yeah, that's where we're heading. Feel free to offer suggestions on what kinda things we should track or changes we should make. I am all ears when it comes to fun ideas. Additionally, do keep in mind that we are for the most part very casual players. I do not intend on taking my character past the Eldritch bosses, for example.

And if you're so inclined, feel free to join us. The more statistics we have, the more we can learn about the game.

Thank you for your time, and check back for updates!

Update 1: Opening Weekend

Back at it again. This time I'll just be posting some numbers as we're busy playing.

My Progress:
Spoiler

My Current Net Value: 1,340 Chaos

My Current Build: https://pastebin.com/n7UtViwq

Largest sale was an Asenath's Gentle Touch that dropped for me on Day 2. Number of Maps run is 150. Playtime is 30 hours with 170 deaths. League has felt like an absolute blast. Rare changes are fantastic in my opinion.

Friend 1's Progress:
Spoiler

Their Current Build:https://pastebin.com/V7nn3pVP

Personal statement: "day 1 went well, took a couple breaks to watch fuckboy island with my gf. I think I could have died less if I levelled my passive tree more defensively. I was rocking ~700 life going through act 4, got one tapped by packs a few times. I'm levelling with vaal reave because the +1 strikes notable is far as fuck from the shadow start. It feels pretty good with nightblade support and the bonus action speed, definitely going fast"

Friend 2's Progress: zero, due to being out of state for launch. Will be starting this week.

Update 2: First Week Done and Dusted

We're still learning how we want to track all this, and how to use Exilence Next, so forgive us if you follow the imgur links XD.

My Stuff:
Spoiler

PoB: https://pastebin.com/VwuWhWYR
Level 92 slayer

Personal Statement: Following Magefist's Zero to Hero for Slayer from a couple leagues ago, he has his build go Oro's Sacrifice -> Red Trail -> Voidforge and I was just on the Oro's Sacrifice portion at the start of the league. One of the great things about Path of Building is that it will tell you which anoint will be the most damage for your build. it was recommending that I take a notable passive that would give me 10% elemental penetration for 17% more damage if I was fighting a guardian boss. Brain got turning and I realized how fire/ignite resistant enemies were 10x tankier than other rares I was fighting, so it might be beneficial if I picked up a Banishing Blade instead which ignores enemy resistances on critical hit (like the inquisitor ascendency). Luckily I had saved up enough to buy a Farrul's fur to generate my frenzy charges took a couple extra work days to actually buy a good ring, the aspect of the cat craft. Spent a divine buying 680 fusings to hopefully 6-link my farruls. Got it in 253. feelsgoodman.jpg. Still loving the league.

Exilence Net Value: 2,268 Chaos / 11.9 Divine

Kills: 261,448

Trickster Flicker Friend:
Spoiler

PoB: https://pastebin.com/gish8VRE
Level 90 Trickster

Personal Statement: "The trickster healing on kill is nuts. I'm basically immortal if there's adds"

Exilence Net Value: 1,757 Chaos / 9.25 Div

Maps run: 114
Played: 37 hours
Deaths: 65

Raider Flicker Friend:
Spoiler

PoB: https://pastebin.com/YZGkhpFq
Level 89 Raider

Personal Statement: "Still struggling to get into red maps. After getting a 6l Farrul's Fur (Trickster Friend supplied the currency for this) and a few other key pieces my build feels very smooth. I'm hitting good dps and survivability and im able to do the league mechanic so far. Definitely would have been a struggle without some lucky drops today. Flicker feels very good once you sink a few divines into it."

Exilence Net Value: 2,400 Chaos / 12.6 Divine
https://imgur.com/hvPnnAV

Maps run: 98
Played: 27 hours
Deaths: 110
Kills: 78,979

Edit: After a lack of interest here and on reddit, we ended up fizzling out.

I ended the league with some 50 divines to my name and approx. 5m dps. Thank you everyone who read. I'll catch y'all in the next league.

Interesting to see the writeups from each perspective. What have yall found to be the content you're able to farm? I'd assume sanctum is next to impossible really and I know delve is doable but a struggle at times due to control. Interested in rolling a flicker again but wanna make sure to spec my atlas where it will work the best. Maybe blight? Delirium?
Hi, cool reportings. I used ceaseless feast gloves early on for easy frenzy charges in maps then got oro. Now I'm saving up for starforge and farrul. Magefist is awesome lol
