Vaal Flicker Strike and attack boosts

Does Vaal Flicker Strike keep track of all individual attacks as if they had happened "at the time", how does it interact with temporary or counted buffs? For example exerted attacks for double damage.

Does it "know" that one of the attacks critted for "critical strike recently" and other "recent" conditions?

Does it "know" that a full-life enemy actually already has loaded damage on it? i.e. does Vaal Flicker Strike interact favourably with effects like bonus critical strike chance/multiplier vs full-life enemies?

What happens when I use Ambush followed by Vaal Flicker Strike?
