Regarding resolve mechanic - how will it work with CWDT or RF builds?

As the title asks, how will Resolve in Sanctum work with self damage? Will it lower our resolve when we inflict damage on ourselves making these builds not viable for the new league mechanic?

They mentioned in the Q&A after the reveal stream that it'd only be damage sources tagged to hit resolve.
