Are you going with Maven or Eldritch train in 3.20?

Eldritch train because my favorite strategy is map boss rushing.

Exiles are very bad, just want to let you know. I've farmed them before fully juiced with sextants et.c. to test them out. Only good for farming rare items for Chaos recipe. If that's your goal, Hest and Blight are far better.

On the topic of the post, unless they've made more altar/maven changes, Alatars will still HEAVILY outperform Maven. Maven doesn't add any monsters to your maps and grants you around 1-2 Maven Splinters every 10 map. Throw in an Awakened Burning Damage from map bosses every ~50th map or so probably.

Still zero reason to play it. Also, forced to run 10 different maps every cycle which is cringe.

I tried maven last league but without juicing the maps, they feel so empty without altars.

Maybe i´ll give it another try this league.

As I am playing SSF I may consider it. But for trade league my guess is that this is designed to fail to achieve the proclaimed goal. Reason being simply that more awakened gems dropping will reduce their price. And if more players do it the price will drop even further. So its conceptually impossible to compete with Altars unless its buffed in other ways or Altars are nerfed significantly.

There is just no value to doing normal maps with Maven. The chance for awakened gems is likely in the 0,0000000 something percent range knowing GGG and the invitations don't drop anything else aside from 2 splinters if you are lucky.

Even if eldritch influence was nerfed hard, it's still better than that. Plus running those maps drops guardian maps which can then be run with Maven to get relavant amounts of splinters and other loots + maybe awakened gems. Plus you don't have to bother with running 10 different maps. There are just way too many downsides to running Maven to even consider it.

I'm gonna do Maven in full knowledge I will do the entire league without an awakened gem and will be considered in the acceptable rng category.

I'm afraid I do not know what either of these mean but I will play Ruthless.

Eldritch for life because it's the most braindead and thus best suited for me. Maven would have to give insane loot to compensate.
