Are you going with Maven or Eldritch train in 3.20?

Neither. My plan for this league is to farm juiced Exiles with all the exile atlas tree nodes. If I had to pick one though I'd go maven.

this doesnt prevent you from adding one of those to your maps im not sure what this has to do with the question

Ill be doing the eldrich cus maven for a 1/10000 chance at a awakened gem sounds bad

The maven change sounds nice on paper but I can't get myself into a larger pool of maps.
I'll stick with Eldritch for the endless grind of my fav maps.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
As someone who doesn't like uber boss killing, this awakened gem drop chance is really nice for SSF. Although I think that chance will be smaller than a grain of sand in the desert.

Both seems appealing.

Maven route compensates in value with Maven splinters from Crucible fights.
Eldritch route has been somewhat nerfed so I expect E currency to be rarer and demand for Orbs of Dominance to be higher.

Only thing that I don't like about Maven route is juggling different maps. It's hassle and not optimal to farm specific content.

If it stacked the same boss multiple times in the maven challenge at the 10 stack level, I think it would be genuinely competitive with eldritch.
having to do 10 different maps for an invitation, and then having to do 40 or 50 maps to finish a mavens writ...

sticking to eldritch until both of these change.
I may attempt the maven stuff to see if its actually feasible to get awakened gems in SSF or is it just a pipe dream.

Well maybe I'm being too optimistic here buuuut, the added chance for witnessed map bosses to drop woke gems was to *increase* the gains from running maven witnessed maps, comparable to eldritch alters. And considering how often a regular Maven drops one, I don't think it's outlandish to guess that the map bosses might have an actually okay drop chance. Sure you need to run 3-5 sets of maps (unless I've been unlucky? D= ) to get the invite, but that's 30 to 50 maps that you COULD have just done Eldritch Alters on. So the drop rate needs to be something tangible. If I had to make a wild guess I think it could be something around a 4-5% chance.

I mean who knows but hey it could actually be pretty good.
