Any chance of us getting Act 5-10 voice lines for the remaining characters before PoE 2 drops?
Currently I think we have Act 5-10 character monologues for the Templar and the Duelist... and that's about it. (Correct me if I'm wrong, here.) My goal is to create and level at least one character for each ascendency class before PoE2, but I've been putting off creating new characters for the other classes until theses voice lines come in (in particular, I'm really interested to hear what the Marauder has to say in Part II).
PoE's voice acting is really second to none when it comes to ARPGs. I find it a massive shame that the vast majority of the player base seems to the regard the campaign as a big "tutorial" before the "real content' (ie. endgame); it seems as if this has made completing the voice lines for the remaining characters a lower priority (I'm sure the pandemic didn't help, either), which is unfortunate given the great writing and voicework that is already present in game. Is there any chance were going to get some or all of the remaining voicework done before PoE2 drops? If anybody has any info on when/if this dialogue will drop and could comment, I would greatly appreciate it. Last bumped on Nov 27, 2022, 12:38:33 AM

Good to see someone views this as an art, not as a button-mash vending machine with dps meter. Problem is, devs give a strong impression they also interested in said machine more than in other gameplay aspects, so not holding fingers crossed here.

lol how many years has it been? and the freaking story mode isn't even finished...
But tbh i have never heard a single voice actor or any sound in this game for that matter, I exclusively play muted because game sounds are just annoying. TV show / music playing in the background instead Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Nov 22, 2022, 8:22:44 PM

" I feel like you're missing out. Some of the dialogue suffers from poor editing if taken as a whole - standard game stuff like information not being delivered in logical order or quests not being fully explained until after they happen, most likely due to the way the game was edited together, or stuff changing after the lines were recorded, but if you just take the voicework on its own, much of it is absolutely excellent. The game has a plethora of absolutely fantastic side characters - Dialla and Izaro are probably my favorites, but there a whole lot of other great performances here. |

" Sadly my impression as well. |

Yeah. I leveled a new character and was surprised the shadow still has no new voice lines. Act 5-10 is now over 5 years old and i assume they have a hard time finding the original VO actors, so they are like not doing it instead of ruining it with new voice lines from other VO actors.
One of the best parts is when the Witch defeats Daresso and makes a condescending remark with her ASMR voice. Actually funny and fits the lore. Also the Templars first comment when he leaves Lioneye's Watch made me laugh hard in Bestiary League. He's like "Oh God. What's that smell?" and 10 feet from him you see Einhar. Well i guess he got the answer to his question. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks Last edited by gandhar0#5532 on Nov 23, 2022, 12:18:19 PM

I also would like for GGG to improve the campaign before or together with POE2. I feel after that it's never going to happend, and that would be a shame. I'm interested to see how GGG could improve the campaign after so many years. Maybe they can gauge with Ruthless their strengths and weaknesses in the campaign.

I think anybody who believes aspects of POE 1 will EVER be finished after the announcement of POE 2 hasn't been paying attention :)

"GGG is probably getting burned out that most of their more lore heavy leagues keep ending up being their most hated ones. |

" They never finish their lore though, every time their lore leagues come out they cut out massive chunks of them just to make the game able to start on launch day |
