November Events: Disapointing and lazy copy paste - A Rant
So with the 3rd Event now running its completed, the disapointment they were.
Why? Well 3.19 was a complete disaster. For most content wise, the lore, changes made, changes not communicated, false promises and changes praised without mentioning the "cost" to keep "the vision" complete. Few examples: - Divine Exa Swap - Harvest Nerf so we could get QoL (Reveal got me hyped, reality made me hate) - Loot "overhaul"/nerf - crafting (lol) - AN - PERCEPTION of all above and of GGGs view of the Playerbase and Playertime Kalandra was butchered for this Dont you feel ashamed GGG for this in particular? So whats wtith the Events? In my eyes they were a cheap way to get over the prolonged time for 3.20 release. This could have been the first good step since 3.19 release. They COULD have been fun. Instead we got 1) same old 2) laughable improvments 3) tons of extra risk BUT NO REWARD 4) MTX reward Nerfs (why so cheap GGG?) 5) claiming of improved Events - done almost nothing MAYHEM - Extra Mods Do I need to say more? WHOS idea was this? Who hates fun? This was meant to be a damn fun mapping Event. Instead we got mini Gauntlet in poor execution WITH NO EXPLANATION as to why. Its also just stupidly harder FOR NO REWARD! The Event was Voided. Why not make it rewarding AND FUN? Why insist on more and more challange instead? Endless Delve Where Is My Super Suit? CRAFTING BENCH! What please was improved on that Event actually? The News post said ALL EVENTS " But the one thing many players wished for THE LAST TIME ALREADY is STILL TO THIS DAY only worth a "No." in the FAQs for GGG. Talking about communicating stuff. Lots more risk due it it, no reward in sight. This also reads 100% like "make the Events cost us as litle as possible" as if GGG wouldnt need some possitive Player Retention currently... Delirium Everywhere This is just the icing on Top Improved was only the early campaign stuff as it was beyond insane last time. But tell me GGG, since its also a Voided Event, and this improvement WAS ALSO highly requested last time already: WHY DOES THE RISK OF HIGH DELI NOOOOOOT INCREASE THE REWARD????? We run a deli orbed map but on the whole game but get shit for it. 1 randome reward ONE ITS MORE REWARDING TO PLAY ORIGINAL DELI MAPS INSTEAD! SAME DIFFICULTY! BUT WITH REWARDS NOW!!! ---- But yeah, I forgot. More harder, rippy, challenging and difficult content is what we want (according to GGG). FUNNY how they still talk about risk vs reward in the manifestos now BUT REMOVE THE LATER PART from the Events and maybe even in 3.20. We will have to wait for the reveal. Or no, wait. That didnt work last time already. Gonna PLAYTEST unpaid again to find all the stuff we werent told beforehand. Just to be disapointed more. --- Yes, im absolutly pissed how the Events where handled and advertised. No, im not hyped for 3.20 even with aN removed. Dear GGG, the AN removal was only your first step in the right direction to save your Game. And I dont mean that in the angry reddit post way. But simply in the way player percieve the way you do things. PoE is such a damn awsome IDEA OF AN GAME buried under bad decision, poor communication and OUTDATED views on the DEV side. --- Please get your stuff together and give us the fun back we once had. And keep the Vision and Challenge stuff for the Cherry you put on top. But stop pushing it down our throats and call it "we lifted a burden of the players".
