Soul link target player with CI + Forbiden rite using mechanic

OK I am back with more crazy thought. Sorry I am noob with limited resources so I cannot test myself.

In this case, let's say I am user A and my party friend is user B. User B has Chaos innoculation. I cast Soul link on user B and then he started using forbiden rite. My question is:

1/ I am user A, and ofcourse I don't have CI with me. So, will I take any damage?

2/ The "30% of Damage from Hits against target is taken from your Energy Shield before them" mechanic I got from Soul link, will it trigger my block/suppress/evade.... ?To make thing simpler, we will just assume user B don't have Chaos Innoculation with him.

I would be very appreciate if someone test it and explain it to me. POE become too hard to understand for me now.

1) Damage is the final step of the calculation. If B has CI, then damage is 0, so there is none for you to take.

2) Your ES is taking 30% of the damage for them but this does not count as you getting "hit." So it would not trigger any of that stuff.
