What is heralding minion and why is so powerful?

new here, just start mapping. I found that pack leaders with heralding minion trait is way powerful than others. I died almost instantly before them while other minions in the same map cant damage me. How could? Thanks.

If I'm remembering the names right; heralding minion causes these things that look like starcraft pylons to appear that blow up after a couple seconds doing a lot of damage in a modest sized area; lightning damage I think, but not sure as the game is seldom clear about such things.

The main way to avoid them is keep moving and not stop for long. They spawn near where you are. So make sure you're moving in a wide enough circle/area that you don't end up back where some previous ones appeared.

It is possible to tank them to an extent, but it requires an extremely tanky build.

There's a lot of variance in the power of pack leaders atm, which makes it very hard, as you can suddenly be dead by something you didn't expect.
