Why stop there, then? Let's make sure all stand up comedy is safe, inoffensive, and subdued. And any art or creative expression - let's make sure it can't possibly reflect reality as it IS, rather than how we'd prefer it to be. Let's make sure it is as safe and insubstantial as possible. Anything else is simply "toxic" (toxic! oh my! better grab the vapors, I think I feel a faint coming on!). Anything else is "trolling", there is no other reason for anyone to express themselves in a way that doesn't adhere to the human resources guidebook at all times. No reason at all.

You're right. And forget that I offered a completely reasonable solution to appease both sides of the argument - nope, just poo-poo it immediately and thoroughly.

Jokes aside - I am compelled, in the name of creativity and freedom of self-expression (even expression that may be, gasp, challenging or uncomfortable at times), to at least TRY to champion spirited, open, honest, creative, and passionate discourse. The human experience simply isn't clean and perfect like that. And gaming culture was simply MORE FUN before this modern thrust of political correctness for its own sake, for the sake of some hypothetical innocence that has long since vanished in the wake of the social media revolution.

But I think I am in the wrong place, if "fun" is the goal. Not many fans of "fun" here. It always comes as a shock to realize that many, if not most, PREFER the anti-fun, anti-creativity philosophy. Anything to maintain the tenuous illusion of being somewhat special and unique, right?

Update: i've since acknowledged that I have some issues when it comes to chat etiquette, that I should probably work on outside of global chat. It's probably not good to ASPIRE to barrens chat!
