Using Divine Orb on Legacy Bringer of Rain does not update the stats/description of BoR

I used a divine orb on a Legacy Bringer of Rain in an attempt to update the values of the item to the current league values (i.e Level 30 support gems) but it did not work and remain the same value, is this intentional or not?

Just used a Divine on one of mine and it worked just fine.

I know these were from patch 3.5:
"
New versions of Bringer of Rain now support socketed skills with level 18 Blind Support and Faster Attacks Support. This change also affects very, very old versions of Bringer of Rain for which these were the original support levels. A Divine Orb will NOT update existing items to these new values, however it will update the Life values on Bringer of Rain to the new values of 200-220 (up from 120-160) Life.

BUT these were for patch 3.5 and not 3.19.

This is from patch 3.19:
"
The Bringer of Rain Unique Helmet now has Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 30 Melee Physical Damage, Faster Attacks, and Blind (previously all level 18). It also now has +200-300 to maximum Life (previously +200-220). The changes to the Level of Supported Gems applies to existing items, though you will need to use a Divine Orb to fix the descriptions or receive the new maximum Life values.

Doesn’t this patch note means that Divine Orb will update previous BoR to the current values (i.e Supported by level 30s) since the change in patch 3.19? Or am I misreading/misinterpreting something?

3.19 patch notes does not override 3.5

the very old version of Bringer of Rain still cannot update as they use another mod with another mod id, and the dev does not intent to recode those very old mod

Also, it is messy and i don't have the very old item in hand. Adv mod view may also show the rollable range

For the mod, there are

https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Modifier:ItemActsAsSupportBlindUniqueHelmetStrDex4

https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Modifier:DisplaySocketedGemGetsFasterAttackUniqueHelmetStrDex4

https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Modifier:DisplaySocketedGemGetsFasterAttackUniqueHelmetStrDex4b

So that the mod with suffix "b" should be the newer mod.

Somehow items dropped between 1.1 to 3.4 use the "b" mod, and then reverted back to use the old mod in 3.5

Ok then I understand why it did not work but that just means that the patch is worded wrongly as according to the patch notes:
"
The changes to the Level of Supported Gems applies to existing items, though you will need to use a Divine Orb to fix the descriptions or receive the new maximum Life values.

“Existing items” should mean exactly what it means; i.e items that currently exist.

Nonetheless, thanks for pointing out why it did not work, really appreciate it.

PS: Advance mod view does not display the rollable values for the support gems

@neohongkong Just curious, how did you manage to find out that there are 2 different coded type of Legacy BoR? What did you search in order to find them separately? I was not able to find anything through searches
You just need to unselect main namespace and use modifier namespace in wiki search

You can also use query if you know how to write one and run it on your own wiki userpage

Ok don’t really get it but it’s on me lol, anyway I still feel that the patch notes should be more clearly written to reflect what actually will happen with the Divine Orb.

Surely you can’t expect players to go back and read every older patch notes or even know that the older patches has priority over the most recent patch, if anything the recent patch should supersede the older patches, smh GGG…
