[PS4] Where can I find network lockstep mode?

My game has only (auto) and (hybrid), I put auto in the main menu and log in with my account but the mode goes back to hybrid, I return to the main menu and the mode goes back to auto. How does this work?

It's called "auto" under Networking Mode. You can only change it at the login screen.
EDIT: Sorry, I initially only read the title. The reason it's called "auto" is that it detects whether you network is stable enough for Lockstep, and uses Lockstep if it can. I'm not sure if it's supposed to switch to Hybrid if it can't, or stay on Auto (but use Hybrid). Maybe someone from GGG can answer that. Last edited by QQPQ on Oct 12, 2022, 2:55:44 PM

"That is correct. When you are in game you can check which option the "Auto" setting picks. If you land on auto-hybrid this means your ping is too high to enable lockstep. |
