cannot progress niko's mine crawler quest bug 424,969,061

crawler seems to be stuck alternating between the on the first mine location and the starting point. no other choice works and there are no mobs to fight at either location. so cannot get more azurite. this may have been caused by me doing what i thought was the least amount of killing right after the escort. i then returned to the main map to continue the main story line. then i returned to the azurite mine to try and advance this axurite quest at a later stage but could not

if it helps i have 8 azurite and i think at one stage had max of 13 azurite. i went back to the generator and tried to create flares and dynamite to see if that would advance either quest. creating the first flare triggered a new quest to make more items but cannot make them because no azurite and unable to mine it....

Voltaxic Sulphite is used to power the crawler, this is not found in the Azurite Mine but in other game areas. Azurite is the currency used to buy crawler upgrades.
The crawler questline is not required to progress through the mine. |

problem might be a lack of intuition by me. i assumed that you could select mines that were connected with the gold wire. i just tried one that was not attacked and the crawler worked
