The quality of 3.19.0 Patch Notes and communication is and was extremely poor.

This feedback has nothing to do with what changes were made. The main issue is the poor quality of the patch notes this league, and the decision to exclude changes from the patch notes, as well as ongoing communications. My love for POE and this company as a whole was significantly because of the transparency of communication between the players and developers. However, this transparency appears to have been lost in favour of obfuscating important changes that should be documented for player knowledge.

Firstly, several lines of patch notes were added significantly after the original posting as they had been "missed". Whether these were missed or simply forgotten from the pipeline of repoing it to writing up the patch notes, we will never know. The changes to Replica Uniques which mirrored their base counterparts were not patch noted until I pointed it out, including the fact that Replica Allelopathy's entire base type had changed.

Hyrri's Truth STILL does not have a patch note stating its Precision level was changed.

Grand Spectrums being moved to Labyrinth only was never mentioned.

Time-lost incubators were removed from the Legion drop table, which was never patch noted. Same with Primal Delirium Orbs.

Corrupted items are no longer unveilable, which was never patch noted. It was discovered even at the start of September, which likely means it was intentional.

Chris stated "In line with Philosophy Three, we rebalanced league monsters so that they were twice as rewarding as regular monsters and didn't have these existing bonuses. To be clear, the bonuses were inconsistent and arbitrary. For example, Yellow beasts dropped more items than Red beasts. Incursion monsters didn't have any Increased Quantity, just increased Rarity, but Harvest monsters had both. This change was not mentioned in the patch notes."

"I also overstated the impact of the change when communicating about it in this post. I said "we removed a massive historic bonus", and this caused the community to think the impact was larger than it was. The reason why I used the word "massive" was that the numbers sound big when viewed in isolation, but are less impactful when viewed in context. For example, the rarity bonus that was removed from a Red Beast was 750%. This sounds big, but a four-mod Archnemesis rare has a 41000% bonus." The specific numbers were not the issue, the issue was that it was not communicated at all until it became an issue.

The internal rarity modifiers were not shared or accessible until it became an issue.

All I can really say is that I've been disappointed with the quality of the communications this league. Players are not dumb, they do not need to have important, relevant information hidden from them "for their own good" "because it is likely not important to players". As someone who works on the wiki and was excited about GGG's advocacy for it, it really makes no sense why GGG would willfully hide changes from players. If this continues next league as well, I will be extremely disappointed. Trust is gained from behaviours, not words.

unfortunately looks like PoE is going through cashgrab direction.

Poor designs, poor comunication, hiden bad changes and lots of microtransaction marketing.

Maybe thats the influence of Tencent (as almost every chinese game/product follow these guidelines) or maybe they are just not good enough to push the game further.

Sad, but maybe PoE as we loved is gone and its time for new game arise to bring our fun back.
