So got a "Wealth" mob

Got a 84 witch, and 76 mara. Played something like 10-14 hours per day since launch. Was the first "Wealth" mob i have seen.

Im impressed, its fun and dropped alot of loot, about 10-15x more than a normal rare, including a Carnage Heart (And i have 0% IIQ/IIR) but I have one issue. After all this playtime ive only seen one? Maybe they should be slightly more common. I mean ive made over 50 exalts worth from farming before ive seen my first one.

They are a great idea, and fun when you find. Just so rare its not really part of the game experience.

Anyway, thats my two cents. Good hunting all :)

What a coincidence, found my first Wealth Mob (possibly mobs, I didn't check every one of them, but the loot amount was huge) a few hours ago. Magics and rares everywhere, all vendor trash though :/ Grats on the Carnage Heart
It's all the same if they make them ten times as likely with one tenth the drop. I like ultra rare stuff... it makes playing the game exciting.
I've seen one ad I got 6 rares ....I in something like 15 days play time ....I've found 8 exalted orbs in that same playtime ...

I like the idea but I expect the next wealth mob sometime in a few more months ...

Not sure why they are THAT rare

Wealth mobs are like the release of Duke Nukem Forever...you wait far too long for it to happen & when it does it's a big disappointment.
I think most people probably don't realise it when they find such a mob.

in ~15 days of playtime I encountered two yellow wealth mobs and a pack of blue ones, at least to my knowledge.

The two yellow, one in group and one solo barely dropped more than the upper range a standard yellow can drop and I wouldn't have realised it if I hadn't seen it on the mob beforehand.
The group of blue wealth mobs on the other hand dropped 3-4 blue+ items each in a 3-player group.

So either there are ranges how good any given wealth mod is, or random is random.
But if you don't see wealth mods imho it's more likely you just don't look at the mods of your enemies.

I barely pay attention to monster mods outside of maps. It would be nice if there was some visual cue whenever a mob has wealth.

The only wealth I remember noticing was a mother beetle in act 3. I had a bit of IIR/IIQ but it just dropped 6-8 blues.

+1

The only time I look at Monster Mods is when they haven't died from the usual routine, not because I'm interested, but because I'm wondering whether I've entered lag or something. If I see it's a Regen or an Increased Physical or whatever I can relax again.

Great simile.
Part of the stigma behind its rarity is that you don't know when you've encountered one. This leads people to believe that they've never seen one when they might have.

Needs more shinies on it. i.e: treasure goblin shiny.
