Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - "an unexpected disconnection occurred" during loading screen - Forum

It started occurring this league, whenever i enter a new instance (map, campaign, town, my own hideout) there is a chance that i get stuck in the loading screen (for about 10 seconds) then drop to the login menu with the "an unexpected disconnection occurred" error. i can immediately login after that with no problem. i never get random crashes outside of loading screens. it seems to happen about 15% of the time, not enough to make the game unplayable, but enough to make farming lab impossible. This is not a connection issue, i tested my internet while stuck in a loading screen. One time i was able to hear the guy's hideout music, and the notification sound of the trade offer he sent me right before dropping to the login screen. I verified content, cleared all caches, restarted my pc, excluded PoE from my anti-virus, switched render options, but nothing helped. Any ideas what might be causing this ? if a specific setting could be causing it, i could turn it off while doing lab at least... Could you check the client.txt file for the instance IP you DC from when this happens and BEFORE you start the game again, because maybe the gateway is trying to transfer your new instance to another gateway that your ISP is blocking ?
