Assailum Sinner Tricorne, Snipe related bugs
So, I've been browsing the forum about the Assailum, Sinner Tricorne's skill, Snipe. Some of the posts dates back to Delirium League when the helmet came out and some in 2022 in Sentinel League, and all are stating the first bug.
The 1st bug that is common is the problem with the targeting. When you channel the skill (often into the right side of the screen) it will often shoot above the cursor, even if you point it an enemy. This is especially annoying when you are vs a boss or a tough rare monster that will only stand still for a brief moment. When you channel and release, the arrow will (when the bug occurs) shoot above the targeted enemy/location and actually miss (even with Resolute Techinique) and fly off to somewhere else. The bug is not consistent, but it happens often. I feel it a lot since I play a bleed bow build at the moment in Kalandra. I currently hold 0 evidence of the bug, but I can elaborate and collect more evidence of it, if necessary. The 2nd bug I discovered is with the Infused Channeling Support gem. When you hover your mouse over the Gem, it do show it supports Snipe itself and not the main gem in the helmet (no wonder, it's Puncture (See attached picture for supports)). Infused Channeling Support should affect both my main skills, (in this case) Split Arrow and Puncture, both having the "Projectile/Attack/Bow" tag and yet do not receive the bonus buff of 10% more damage from Infusion. ==Supported gems with Infused Channeling== ==Before Channeling== ==While Channeling== ==After Channeling== I know this is a bit of a futile effort to have GGG look into it, but it'd be great if they did! Thank you for your report; I will pass this onto the team.
As for the Infused Channelling part although, it may be that fact that Snipe does not have a "Physical" tag so it will not give you Physical Infusion. Snipe does provide physical damage to attacks so I will also bring this up with the team so it can be looked at. |

" I did testing to see if Snipe's Infusion would apply to any skill gem with the tag "Attack/Projectil/Bow", but it does not grant an added damage bonus to them. This is shown in the attached pictures. Either way, I am surprised that this little post got an actual dev on the job. Reddit people get angry too fast and some of the reddit comments are weird. Some do the thorough testing and all the bug hunting, but most don't give constructive feedback with proof or won't go into details (a bit like my post with the redirecting links etc.). " attack/proj/bows are not damage types. Fire, Cold, Lightning, Physical and Chaos are damage types that the infusion can give bonuses for. |

" Ohh, I understand. But it is a tag and therefore should still apply, shouldn't it? Like the implicit modifiers such as "+2 to socketed projectile gems" will give +2 levels of any gem that has the tag "Projectile" and therefore should infusion still work for any other gems with the tag "attack/projectile/bow". If not, then it should be stated more clearly on the gem itself. |
