Mana Siphon Mod/Doryani's Prototype

Is the lightning damage over time bypassing Doryani's Prototype??
I have a 800,000 Armor consistantly and Mana Siphon is instant Death
I Can take any other lightning damage im just wondering if the lightning damage over time was hitting my -180 lightning resistances when it should be going off my armor...
anyone else having this issue? or is this just what it is when you use Doryani's

Doryani's Prototype states that "Armour also applies to Lightning Damage taken from Hits". Mana Siphoner ring deals lightning damage over time. Damage over time never hits, so this is not a bug.

so basically i hope i like level 98 lol cuz aint gonna make it with those stupid things popping up randomly killing me everytime i get 10% lol

Pretty much. You have to convert 100% of lightning damage taken to something else if you want to survive that mod. And it has to be all damage, not just hits like the talisman that converts some lighting damage taken.
