If you can't even be bothered to implement or even consider the feedback i gave you why the hell should i bother posting my POBs here? That would only make sense if you were actually willing to improve. Doing that with someone who only wants to vent makes no sense. And yes i was wrong about Brutality. Would you like me to drag up all the ridiculous nonsense you posted over the years? Even made threads for? Like "Veritania is impossible for melee" and "Fanatism is a broken ascendancy node?" TBH I expected sunder to be boss viable after the buffs, but sadly it was not. I juiced it's damage so much, that it should have been turning bosses into giblets, but it would only tickle them.

If I hit my 3x and 2x proc, it tickled a little more, but the majority was me waiting for fist of war proc, and then swinging my slow ass attack. Bosses took LONGER with this, than me just swapping it out for sweep, and swapping out fist of war.

Even with my 900 dps maul (pdps 600, fire dps 300) with 100% crit chance, which should have juiced the hell out of this slam, did very little to nothing. It was a huge step up from something like tidebreaker, but absolutely useless in the grand scheme of things. I had tested 3 gems that lower attack speed to increase or give more damage, they ended up making my single slams more potent, but reducing my effectiveness against bosses due to the slam being so slow to start up.

I couldn't even kill tier 16 bosses without worrying about whether or not they'd kill me first, due to the slow attack. It would take at least 15-30 slams, depending on the boss, each slam taking almost a second to actually swing. This should be the level of power that turns a boss to dust from one hit.

Standing still for a second in this game, is death.

I've always liked the slam style hard hits obliterate everything. But just like OP says, slam skills just don't compare to any other type of skill right now. Maybe for slam skills GGG can add additional inverse damage scaling based on attack speed and/or number of monsters present/hit?

Let me try.

First, Sid wisely didn't claim to be classy, he only tried to point out an activity that is not classy.

I thought Sid did a good job laying out the parameters of his experiment. Note I said experiment not build and skill that he's trying to improve on and can't figure out how. This thread should be viewed within that context. If you change those parameters then you change the experiment and should probably start up a new thread to discuss the new different experiment.

I'm sure you would find a way to take things out of their context (you seemingly haven't really understood the context of this thread to be honest, I'm not quite sure) like you just did a little bit here.



By the way, another element that might not have been mentioned in this thread that makes slow slamming feels like crap :

Sentinel Archnemesis mod (or other mobs that can block like in Heist)
If you build around fist of war to hit everytime it gets out of cooldown, a big rare that could take you 2 slams to kill could need 3 or 4 times more .... and with a slow slamming build ....
That's like over 10 seconds for one single rare, and that feels super crappy obviously.

If this rare got beefed up by Archnemesis making it resistant to your damage in addition to the Sentinel mod, you could be in for a 20+ seconds fight (kinda extreme case though, but still) ....
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Well... Patch notes feel kinda sad.
