Temporal Rift and Maven's Punishment

So, I realise Maven's Punishment stops you from regaining health for a time, but if I get hit by her beams and then use Temporal Rift I do not return to where I was healthwise. I feel like I should, as I do not "heal" but rewind time to a state before I got touched by her beam. So to me, this feels like a bug and also as not working within the "narrative" of the skill.
