It does not grant a bonus to your character, but to skills in sockets connected to it. Place into an item socket connected to a socket containing the Active Skill Gem you wish to augment. Right click to remove from a socket. Why can't this support be made to support spells as well particularly physical spells? my best guess is for balance purposes.
if "withered" is the reason why you want this support, a simple spell totem 4L setup can give u 2-3 totems withering an enemy with very little investment adding another source of withered could be OP that said.. i feel that withering touch could use more love (as in buff) and i really would prefer if it could support spells too [Removed by Support]

Damage wise for my build it would be less, but the qol would be better, but also im trying to scale as many sources of Phys as extra chaos damage and finding out that this support doesn't work on Blade Vortex was a let down.

Withering Touch was designed to support chaos bow skills introduced the same update (Toxic Rain, Scourge Arrow, Caustic Arrow) and help them to inflict Withered debuff. Spellcasters already had Wither skill for this so Withering Touch was a counterpart for attacks.
Having said that, I find the request to update Withering Touch so it will be able to support any skills that hit quite reasonable nowadays. I woudn't mind numbers buff as well. |
