Minion survivability issues due to minion charge changes?

The change introduced in 3.19.0 dropped a historical bonus to charges effect on minions.

Minions now gain the same bonuses from Endurance, Frenzy and Power Charges as players do, rather than the significantly elevated bonuses that other Monsters gain.

The changes to Frenzy and Power were partially mitigated by buffs to minion critical strike and ailments, but there has been no compensation for the large amount of physical damage mitigation previously granted by Endurance charges.
Since general physical mitigation is difficult to obtain elsewhere for minions, I suspect this may play a role in recent feedback around minion survivability in general.
Incoming tweaks to specific boss and monster skill damage to are welcome, but I feel additional options to invest in physical mitigation for minions (on gear, the tree, or in skills) would be extremely helpful.
