I am 100% positive. I have found maps that have burning ground and then I just walk into the area to see if my health drops and it does. Reconfirmed I have unaffected by burning ground.

Judging by your screenshot, you haven't clicked a pantheon to activate it.
You can have 1 Major God and 1 Minor God active at a time. None are active by default; the pantheon must be selected manually, even for the first one unlocked on a character. |
