Shard of alchemy not given often enough in shops
Just have to comment here. I have been playing since the last open weekend, and I have gotten ONE alchemy shard and 20+ orbs of alchemy. I am still on normal difficulty. (on 6 lvl 20+ chars, still deciding which build I like most) My question is why are the orbs are so common at such an early stage? What if the drop chance was halved for the orbs, but shards were drop-able as well?
My thought is, if rares were able to be traded in for shards of alchemy, the player trading would die off a little. More people would rather just sell junk rares for instant return than spend time to trade them to others. Maybe this would be a good thing, I don't know. That's up to devs. Just throwing my two cents out there. |

" 20+ orbs of alchemy is unusual. Seriously. That's lucky. I've been playing for about two months now, give or take, and I've probably found 10-15. Total. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

" Oh, that would make sense. I just figured it was meant to be that common, since they are hit or miss, and require other, more rare orbs to redo. I would simply like to be able to build up to an alchemy orb, rather than just finding one here or there. For me, it would give me something more to work for, alongside my gear. Instead I find myself stockpiling them, and using one when i find a blank item with good sockets. Change it or not, I'm here for the long haul. |
