Corrupting fever buff does not benefit from buff effect

As stated in title, buff effect from Ichimonji does not appear to benefit or modify the buff from the skill Corrupting Fever

What do you expect buff effect to do? The buff allows you to apply Corrupting Blood to enemies.

If it's considered a buff that applies a damage you can scale, logic would dictate that buff effect would scale the damage, or duration, or anything at all really. It's a buff and buff effect doesn't affect it, makes no sense.

As Sicares said, the buff only does one thing. You either are corrupting or you are not, which is not a numeric value that can be modified by buff effect.
The replies still don't really make sense. By that logic any Herald that adds damage would be binary "either it's adding damage or it's not" and buff effect wouldn't affect it either.

Another example is the buff allows you to apply 10 stacks of CB, so 10% increased effect of the buff should allow you to apply 11 stacks. It doesn't make sense that buff effect doesn't affect a buff. It seems lazy to try to explain it away rather than make it work IMO.

EDIT:

I just feel like things that any reasonable person would assume works, should not be explained away by some convoluted explanation which feels honestly ridiculous.

I think it's fair enough to assume that CF would get scaled by buff effect in some way.

However, from that fact that it doesn't work, it means that the CF buff is coded to just give you a way to apply the CF debuff on enemies. It kind of sucks but since Ichimonji is the only way to get buff effect, hopefully it's not too big of an issue.

Most herald buffs give you added damage, buff effect works on it. But why would explosions from HoI or lightning bolts from HoT be affected by buff effect?

the buff does not give the CB limit of 10, that is innate of corrupted blood itself.

The buff allows you to apply corrupted blood.
Corrupted blood is a debuff that has a stack limit of 10 and deals physical damage over time.

this isn't a lazy way of explaining it away over trying to make it work, the buff only does one thing... and that is let you apply a debuff.
Ichimonji increases the buffs which affect YOU
Corrupting Fever applies a buff to you that allows you to apply Corrupted Blood on hit. It doesn't do anything else, and doesn't have any buff values that can be modified. Corrupted Blood is a debuff, so anything that affects buffs specifically doesn't apply to it.

There's nothing for buff effect to do here.
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.
