Fractured items saved the league

In two ways!

1. The mobs that dump 15 fractured items on your lap make it relatively cheap to make all of your gear. Even +1 wands aren't that expensive. Fractured T1 life or res roll evasion gear is cheap as free so you can roll for suppression at will. It gives something to hunt for and work towards in a league where you can't really do that.

2. Now that Harvest crafting is cheaper and you can fracture 4-mod items everyone can work towards near perfect to perfect clusters. That 35% effect, 3% attack and cast speed, 10 life or ES, Vicious Bite cluster is CHEAP AS HELL for your minion build. Want to play INT wander? It now only costs an arm and not an arm and a leg. Want to play a still-viable omni Lightning Warper again? Or craft Introspection clusters with minor nodes that are worth it? You can because your clusters are cheap now.

I really hope both of these mechanics stay in the game for 3.20. I think the positive change to Harvest fracturing items was a panic reaction to the criticism rather than a design decision because it's actually really good.

Yeah I was thinking similar earlier today. Fractured item availability shot through the roof with the one mod that drops a mountain of them and harvest letting you fracture 1/4 fairly easily.

I love it. They finally added decent mid game crafting.
They are nice, but man are my rolls the worst.

I id them all and get disappointed all the time.

Don't think I am all negative, just my experience has been very poor. But I can see them being real nice for creating items. My rng has been real bad in this game, that doesn't mean everyone has that experience.
I definitely have seen 20 times the fractured items compared to any other league.

Zero of them remotely good.

Fractured: +8 life

Fractured: +14 dexterity

Fractured: Gain 3 mana on kill

You get the idea.
I hit a decent amount of good fractured items.

+1 all lightning spell skill gems on a magic jade amulet
t1 spell suppress on a t2 shield base
30% movement speed on sorcerer boots
several t1 resistances on different belts
t1 spell damage on an opal sceptre

those are the more relevant ones.

Generally, the availability of fractured items is the ONE thing that they got right this patch, doesn´t help to keep the game afloat with all that other shit thats going on but at least its something. Can´t support the "saving the league"-claim though.
Yeah, they kinda do.

So expect a heavy nerf to the soon^^
Fun detected, GGG won't like that.

From the latest GGG post about Harvest it seems they intend for it to have been nerfed significantly and permanently. 4-mod fracture of clusters was likely an oversight. If you ever wanted a "perfect" or at least 3x mod perfect T1 cluster you're going to want to fracture a bunch this league before they're gone for good.
