Does anyone know that the "item optimizer" on poe.trade does?

I seen the button a few times.
It asks for your path of building code and then says generating and then nothing.
Is it meant to be like the best item in the slot your search for?

I thought poe.trade was dead.

No idea what "item optimizer" you're talking about. I don't see anything of the sort on poe.trade. Maybe you have a poe-related browser extension adding something to the page? Or it's something that my ad blocker is hiding?

I can only guess what it's supposed to do. It looks like it's attempting to take some item info and generate a set of search criteria for you or something.

I'm not surprised it doesn't work for you. I can only echo what everybody else will tell you: stop using poe.trade. It was useful years ago, but it's had its day in the sun. Just use the official trade site, which is better in every way.

I wouldn't say dead. I'd say not in heavy use and in need of some maintenance but still usable.
