Eternal loading screens on the PS5

I'm hitting eternal loading screens everywhere. Heist portals, portals to town, waypoint portals. Today is the first day I've encountered this, but it's now happening once every 3 or 4 portals I take. My only solution is to back out of the game completely and log back in.

ok, this is getting dumb

so I am unable to complete a lab because of this problem
