Abyss Challenge not working properly ( 5 abyss in single map)

I forced 5 abyss on my map using sextant, gilded scarab, and map device. The challenge did not complete. I completed it on a T16 Waste Pool map. I have also tried Crimson Temple but that didn't work either

Can confirm the issue is replicable. 2x Wastepool and 1x Dunes with forced 6 abyss, but only 4 spawn.

Edit: Just realised that extra scarabs weren't used, they were just kept in map device.

I'm experiencing this too. Ran t16 with winged scarab(+3) and map device(+2). Did not get the challenge unlock.

Same problem, specifically I'm not getting as many abyss as I should be getting.

I ran 3 maps with +2 abyss implicit on the map, +2 abyss scarab, +1 abyss sextant, +2 abyss map device (should be 7 total on each map). The first 2 maps I ran this way only had 4 abyss, the 3rd map only had 3 abyss. I don't have Stream of Consciousness allocated.

Forced 5 abyss onto Carcass with winged scarab and kirac. Full cleared all of them, no credit for challenge. Bugged

There are a maximum number of mechanics that each map can generate based on its size. I removed essence and strongboxes and 5 abyss showed up.

I did 2 maps, t16 suplhur vents and t15 dunes with 5 abysses, no challenge completion.

Just wanted to say the same is happening to me. On top of that, i only got 3 abysses in my dunes map despite it saying i should have got 5 on the side (3 from scarab, 2 from device). pretty annoying since i've tried 4 times now. 3x ashen woods (t14), 1x dunes (t16).
